OUR FACILITIES

Defence of Darwin House is to be developed on the site of what is currently a bitumen carpark. The proposed tourist and leisure venue overlooks the Harbour with water views that our members, guests and visitors can enjoy with lunch or dinner, a snack or coffee, fine wine, craft beer or a cocktail.

The venue will operate across three levels including one below ground level of parking.

On the first floor of Defence of Dawin House will be a licensed club with restaurant, bar, lounge and terrace. With direct natural lighting, it will be one of our most stunning spaces and the ideal place to relax while enjoying the stunning Harbour views across the Waters of Remembrance.
Whether you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion over dinner, a family lunch or a simple bite to eat with friends, Defence of Darwin House will cater for a broad range of tastes and appetites.

The family-friendly Sunset Café located on the ground floor will be open from early mornings for all community members to enjoy a coffee, snack or lunch meal.

The Sunset Cafe will provide a wide selection of savory and sweet pastry items, barista coffee and café meals

The building will be an attraction in its own right, a meeting place for use by community groups, individuals and people who come to visit the Cenotaph precinct to understand events that are of central consequence to Darwin and all Australia.
